Bybit vs eToro: Quick Summary

eToro is a good choice if you're interested in social trading and copying the trades of other eToro users or want to invest in multiple asset classes. However, eToro is not the best choice if you're looking for the lowest fees or multiple cryptocurrencies. Ultimately, the decision comes down to what you're looking for in an exchange. 

If you want the lowest fees and many cryptocurrency trading and staking options, Bybit is the way to go. If you're looking for multiple asset classes and high security, eToro is the better choice.

Bybit unfortunately only supports cryptocurrencies and options on its platform. However, it does offer considerably more tokens than eToro, supporting over 300 cryptocurrencies. 

eToro is the most unique multi-asset investing platform in the world.Not only can you invest in cryptocurrencies, you can also buy fiat currencies, commodities, stocks, ETFs and indices. The only drawback is that eToro only supports 50 cryptocurrencies on the platform.

Winner: eToro supports many more asset classes than Bybit and is the only cryptocurrency investing platform to offer the option to buy traditional financial assets.

Which exchange offers the lowest fees? Bybit or eToro?

Bybit offers the single lowest fees out of any centralized cryptocurrency exchange globally. The spot trading fee is a competitively low 0.1% and the derivatives trading fees get as low as 0.01%. Deposits and withdrawals are free on Bybit but users must pay the gas fee when withdrawing cryptocurrencies.

eToro unfortunately charges some of the highest trading fees in the world, users will incur a 1% fee when buying or selling cryptocurrencies. Withdrawals in USD are charged a flat $5USD fee and other currency withdrawals will incur a $5USD fee and a forex fee. Most deposits are free but credit/debit card will incur a 1% fee. 

Winner: Bybit offers significantly lower fees for trading, deposit & withdrawals. 

Derivatives, Spot & Options Trading

Bybit offers a myriad of trading options which include but are not limited to - Inverse Futures, Inverse Perpetual, USDC Perpetual, USDT Perpetual, Leverages Tokens, Launchpad, Margin Trading, Spot Trading, Copy Trading & USDC Options. 

eToro regrettably only supports one type of trading - Spot. Users also have access to Copy Trading which allows investors to copy the trades of other eToro users.

Winner: Bybit has a wider range of cryptocurrency trading options therefore making it the clear winner.

Security and KYC

Bybit is not regulated in any country and therefore does not require its users to KYC (verify) if they wish to use the platform. Because of this reason, Bybit is very popular in countries that have strict crypto regulations. 

eToro is regulated in over 60 countries and is considered an extremely high security exchange. The platform has never been subjected to a hacking incident, cyber attack or loss of users funds. It has tight security measures in place to avoid such accidents. 

Winner: eToro is by far the more secure exchange and users funds are stored in tier 1 banks.

Bybit has the most extensive list of cryptocurrency staking options with 5 options to choose from. Users can choose from single and double sided staking to high risk/APY and low risk/APY options. eToro only supports staking on Ethereum, Tron & Cardano with low APY (Annual Percentage Yields).

Bybit is widely regarded as one of the best cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. It is the superior platform when compared to eToro as it has competitively lower fees, wider selection of cryptocurrencies, multiple staking options and better features overall.
