What is StarkNet?

StarkNet is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that uses ZK-Rollups to provide cheap and fast transactions. It is live on the Ethereum mainnet with over 30 applications deployed on it. StarkNet is backed by leading investors including Paragim, Index Ventures and StarkWare Labs.

ZK-Rollups are a type of Layer 2 scaling solution that uses Zero Knowledge Proofs to reduce the data that needs to be stored on-chain. This results in cheaper and faster transactions while still maintaining the security of the Ethereum mainnet. Zero Knowledge Proofs also enable user privacy by not publically showing wallet IDs when executing transactions on-chain.
